Kate
Kate is a captain at Ocean Ecoventures, originally from Ontario. She moved to the BC coast in 2018, driven by a lifelong connection to aquatic environments and a deep love for the ocean.
With years of experience exploring the Salish Sea—including fieldwork with the Department of Fisheries and Ocean and Environment & Climate Change Canada—Kate brings knowledge, enthusiasm, and a sense of adventure to every tour. Off the water, she volunteers at a local salmon hatchery and non-profit aquarium, and spends her free time snorkelling and photographing the coastal world she loves to share.
